Within a 15 minute radius: only a few minutes by car is the historic town of Lodève with its famous museum and shops ideal for daily shopping. Every Saturday there is a traditional market in Lodève. South of Olmet you will find the lake Salagou with its beautiful landscape.
Less than 30 minutes by car: not far from us you will find La Couvertoirade a medieval fortress in a beautiful setting.
For wine tasting Octon on the lake of Salagou is a good address or simply enjoy the weekly market during the summer. Highly recommended is also St Guilhem le Désert one of the most beautiful villages in France or Pezenas which opens its craft market every summer.
Within 60 minutes by car: cross the Millau viaduct, the highest bridge in the world or visit one of the "grands sites" of France, the Cirque de Navacelles, a 300 meter deep canyon. Drive south to visit Montpellier, one of France's most dynamic cities, or visit other villages/towns on the Mediterranean, including Mèze, Marseillan, Agde and Sète.
Within 90 minutes drive: medieval castle of Carcassonne a UNESCO site, be prepared for many visitors.
Highly recommended is the beautiful coastal town of Colioure just beyond Perpignan.
